Results of the European Youth Weightlifting Championship held in Albania from October 18 to 25, 2022.
After eight days of active competition, the national team of Ukraine 🇺🇦 took 3rd place in the medal count for major awards and 4th place among teams taking into account all medals. During the competition, we won 35 awards (11 big): 12 (4 gold), 14 (5 silver) and 9 (2 bronze). 18 medals (6 large) were brought by representatives of the U23 age category, and 17 (5 large) by juniors. Ukrainians won 19 awards (6 major) in men's disciplines, and 16 (5 major) in women's disciplines.
We congratulate the Ukrainian athletes on their victory at the European Junior Weightlifting Championship:
🥇 Maria Gangur - became the champion of Europe in the weight category up to 64 kg with a result of 214 kg (98 + 116). Maria won three gold medals: in the sprint, in the push and in the sum of dueling!
🥇Olga Ivzhenko - became the champion of Europe in the weight category up to 59 kg and won 3 gold awards - in the jerk, in the push and in the sum of dueling!
🥇Kamila Konotop - three gold medals and a European record in the jerk, in the category up to 59 kg, with a total result of the duel - 220 kg
🥈 Yevgeny Yantsevich - in the weight category up to 102 kg, he won 3 silver medals: in the sprint, in the push and in the sum of dueling
🥈Oleg Nikolayenko - won silver in the sprint at the European Junior Championship in the weight category up to 96 kg
🥈 Alina Zakharchenko - won silver in the sprint and the sum of dueling, as well as bronze in the push in the weight category up to 59 kg!
🥈 Kristina Borodina - won three silver medals in the category over 87 kg: in the jerk, push and total dueling
🥈 Oleg Ganzenko - won 3 silver medals in the weight category over 109 kg, won silver in the sprint, push and sum of the dueling!
🥉 Volodymyr Marchuk - in a spectacular fight, he won bronze in the push and sum of dueling in the weight category up to 102 kg
🥉 Dmytro Kondratyuk - bronze medalist in the weight category up to 81 kg, won 3 bronze awards: in the sprint, in the push and in the sum of dueling.
🥉 Mark Levanzov - won bronze in the weight category up to 73 kg, in the push with a result of 166 kg! In the sum of dueling - 292 kg and 5th place.
🥉 Svitlana Samulyak - won the bronze award in the weight category up to 55 kg. Showed the result of 85 kg in the jerk, 99 kg in the push and 184 kg in the sum of the dueling
🥇🥈 Nikita Rubanovsky - European champion in the weight category up to 109 kg. Gold in the push, silver in the jerk and gold in the sum of the dueling
🥇🥈🥉 Yevhen Burbala - collected a full set of medals. Gold in the push, silver in the all-around and bronze in the jerk. Weight category over 109 kg
